- Controls the level of smoothing performed on the cell mesh in preparation for output. Higher smoothness levels (right-most slider position) produces less of the original detail.
- Users can specify whether smoothing is on/off for cells within attractor gradients with the Live Parts for SOLIDWORKS Add-in. When smoothing within a gradient is turned on, the cells will be smoothed along with the rest of cells within the organism; otherwise, they will be snapped to the gradient volume.
- Controls the speed of the camera movement commands. Sliding the value to the left will slow down the camera for close up zooming.
- Gravity forces play an important role in strengthening Live Parts objects as they grow — especially during their early growth stages.
- Values are specified for each direction (X, Y, Z) and the force is experienced by all cells within the structure. Even when cells die, gravity forces pull those cells out of the way until they are reclaimed by the system for use in new cells.
- By default, this setting is turned off. By turning this setting on, the user may manually override the gravity forces pre-defined in Live Parts model. By turning this setting back off, the gravity forces resume to those pre-defined in the model.
- Forces may be associated with multiple gradients or targets, and as such, a single Force definition may be applied in multiple locations.
- When this setting is turned on, the user may use the “Select Force ID” slider to select a Force to modify, and then modify the sliders for “Magnitude”, “ForceX”, “ForceY”, and “ForceZ”. When the user turns the “Force Override” setting off, the Force specifications resume to those specified in the model.
- By default, this setting is turned off. By turning this setting on, users can manually override the Force values for each of the Forces defined in the Live Parts model.
- Note: if a user had specified an expression for a Force value via the Live Parts for SOLIDWORKS Add-in, that expression gets resolved to a static value, and that static value is what is modified using the magnitude and Force direction sliders.
