We are aware of an issue where occasionally, SOLIDWORKS may throw and error when users select the Export command to send your Live Parts model from SOLIDWORKS to Live Parts. At the same time, SOLIDWORKS may then incorrectly indicate that it has successfully exported your model.
If this happens try exporting your model a second time. If the problem persists, the Live Parts feature that failed to export may be rolled back. Make sure that the geometry volumes that you selected for the Walls and Gradients are all simple rectangular prisms, cylinders, or spheres. Try saving the assembly and exporting again.
When the Live Parts for SOLIDWORKS Add-in exports a model, it places a ".json" model file on your local SOLIDWORKS machine and uploads the file so that it may be opened in Live Parts. If an export fails, you may simply export again as the Add-in will generate another file. Exported files are automatically deleted from the cloud store after 1-2 days.
